Another Roof Wash Completed for a great customer of ours located in beautiful Trumbull, CT over looking pinewood lake.
Once this customer had taken trees down overhanging his home he noticed how bad his roof was. He wasn’t quite sure what it was or how to handle it so he called the experts at Wash-Rite SoftWashing to come give our professional opinion. After seeing the roof we explained to him that he had a number of different live organisims growing on his roof. Lichen, moss, mold, mildew, algae and Gloeocapsa Magma (Black Streaking) were all present. These live organisms all slowly decompose the shingles which then forces the home owner to prematurely replace the roof. We reccomended taking action as quick as possible. This meant a full service roof cleaning and gutter cleaning which would leave his roof spotless that same day. Unlike our competitors who just apply the chemical and leave, we give you the option to apply and then rinse everything off. If we do not rinse you will be waiting patiently for Mother Nature to take it's course.
As you can see in the pictures below once we spray our 100% biodegradable and enviormentally friendly solutions any growth on the roof is highlighted into a bright white or light tan color. This lets us know that any growth is dead. If the customer does not choose to rinse the roof that same day you can be stuck with dead growth on your roof up to 4 months, and obviously its not the most appealing. Yes, of course a spray and rinse is a bit more expensive but all of the time is in the rinsing. A spray and rinse job can take anywhere between 6-15 hours depending on the roof. A just spray application which we do offer as well can take only 1-3 hours. I can’t say this enough you pay for what you get.
